Griffin Endowment Fund

Year after year, the pressure to accept a greater proportion of fee-paying students intensifies, yet Starehe would not be Starehe without its core mission: to enable bright students from impoverished backgrounds to flourish.

That’s why it’s so important to secure the long-term funding of free school places.

A highly-efficient investment model

By raising £8 million, and adding it to an existing endowment fund of around £1 million, we can – over the long-term and subject to interest & exchange rates - provide student bursaries for around half of the total free places in perpetuity, whilst also retaining the value of the core fund.

The total £9 million Griffin Fund will be invested in a balanced portfolio managed by Cazenove Capital Management and held securely in the UK.

There are many ways to give – including tax-efficient options for standard and higher rate taxpayers.
