The schools’ are dependent on donations to enable their pupils to improve their own educational outcomes and life chances. The Starehe schools currently receive £150 per student per year, from the Kenyan government leaving a shortfall of £850 to cover educating and providing a home each student for each academic year.
Over 20,000 boys and 12,000 girls apply for 250 and 160 places at each school respectively every year. There is a great deal more the schools could achieve with your help.
