In Memory of Sir Bob Reid (1934 - 2025)

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sir Bob Reid, who died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday 28th May 2025, aged 91.

Sir Bob was a long-time supporter of Starehe and played a significant role in shaping its future through his involvement with both the ‘Aim High Appeal’ (1996–1998) and the ‘StareheFuture’ Committee (2008–2011). His connection to Kenya, and to the Starehe schools, dated back to his time with Kenya Shell, and his dedication to education and opportunity was unwavering.

We remember Sir Bob with gratitude and affection. His wise counsel, humility, and generous spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
